Fave matcha in Brooklyn. Immaculate vibes inside and great selection of ceremonial grade matcha + accessories too. Can get pretty busy so expect wait times & limited seating. The baristas are great at describing the different kinds of matcha - we had the Yame & Uji, both bold in flavor, but can definitely taste the difference in nuttiness/earthiness.

Kettl has some of the best matcha I've had. It's smooth, vibrant, and perfectly balanced--earthy with just the right amount of sweetness. Every sip feels carefully made and super high-quality. Definitely worth checking out if you're into matcha.

What I got: Hukuju matcha latte With oat milk (7/10) Kettl had 3 different types of matchas to choose from and I went with their cheapest offering which the barista said had nutty and chocolate undertones. I chose oat milk and thought that the latte definitely had those flavors. It comes unsweetened and you can add honey or simple syrup. I thought the matcha taste was there but lacked the creamyness I typically like (maybe it was the milk??). I thought it was nutty and mildly grassy but not sweet. The almond milk blend was much more nutty, thick and almost too grainy. I thought overall it was good but it wasn't my favorite, maybe one of the other 2 blends would be better.

I've picked up bars of chocolate from this little window before, but I recently tried a drink for the first time. Iced hojicha latte with oat milk was fantastic. The Greenpoint location is more spacious / has a bigger menu, but this one has its own charm - just four seats at the window outside!

4.5 stars! I'm in my matcha era and I was excited to try this spot. I got the matcha latte and it was very tasty. It was strong and not too sweet. Big plus for complimentary milk alternatives which include oat, almond and coconut milk. Only 2 downsides - only one guy works at the back so it definitely takes a little bit of time for him to make each drink and handle all the orders. There were only 2 ppl ahead of me when I was there so I can't imagine what it's like on a weekend! There's also only 4 seats so most likely you will have to grab it to go. Highly recommend trying!

I had the Soba Cha Latte, which was light, nutty, and super soothing--perfect for a mellow pick-me-up. My friend went for the Shirakawa Matcha Latte, which had a strong, grassy flavor, really bold in comparison. Both of us opted for the house-made oat milk they recommended. I'm not sure I could pick out any specific nuances from it, but overall it was a solid choice. We also shared the Miso Pistachio Pound Cake. It was rich and dense, a great contrast to my light Soba Cha. Definitely worth a try if you're into bold, savory-sweet combinations!

Decided to give this place another try since I still hear great things about this brand and we were nearby. Went with a hot Suiteki matcha and it was delicious. Not grainy at all. Good temperature. Good milky consistency. $7 My partner's sparkling matcha was also decent. Not grainy. Very sparkling and you can kind of taste the matcha. I wouldn't personally go for this one but it was refreshing. $6.5
